This policy includes the measures we are actively taking to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. You are requested to follow all of these rules to ensure a safe workplace in this unique environment.

This policy applies to all employees who physically work in our office.

Policy elements

Here, we outline the required actions employees should take to protect themselves and their co-workers from a potential coronavirus infection.

The Liverpool Recruitment Company Limited are responsible for ensuring that the building and communal areas are clean.  Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with their risk assessment guidance.  The information in this guidance, together with this policy, is important and intended, as far as is possible, to reduce the risk of people in the building contacting corona coronavirus virus.

Sick Leave Arrangements

  • If you have CORONAVIRUS symptoms you MUST stay at home for 14 days and self-isolate.
  • If you have had contact with a person who has coronavirus you MUST stay at home for 14 days from the date of the contact. Only if you then do not have symptoms may you return to the office.
  • If you need to provide care to a family member infected by CORONAVIRUS, request to work from home.
  • If you are a parent and you have to stay at home with your children, request to work from home.

It is possible to obtain a test if you believe that you have coronavirus symptoms.  This can be booked through  We strongly recommend that you have a test before returning to work.

In all cases above, contact one of the directors and request sick leave or to work from home.

Travelling/commuting measures

If you normally commute to the office by public transportation and do not have other alternatives, you can request to work from home as a precaution. If you cannot work from home and use public transport to commute, please follow government guidance on wearing masks and social distancing.

Office Arrangements

Whilst it is the preferred option of the Directors that all staff homework, we appreciate that some individuals would like to attend the office.  On that basis, we have arranged the following:

  • Staff members must not use another person’s telephone, use another person’s pens or other stationery, or sit at a desk other than the one they are allocated.
  • Staff should bring their own cups/mugs and should not offer to make drinks for other staff members or visitors.
  • If staff use the common facilities, e.g. printer, they should wash their hands/use sanitiser and wipe down the equipment immediately after.
  • Where at all possible, staff must not meet clients in person. If remote meetings are not possible then staff and visitors will need to comply with wearing a mask (unless exempt) and observe the 2-meter social distancing rule. All meetings must be pre-booked and have enough time between to ensure the area is cleaned.
  • Staff in the office must maintain 2-meter social distancing at all times.
  • When attending at other places on Astraea/Linskills business e.g. banks, post offices, courts, police stations etc., use a facemask and follow the General Hygiene measures set out below.

Client payments

Card payments and bank transfers are preferred. Where this is not possible please wash your hands/sanitise immediately after handling cash.  

General Hygiene

  • Wash your hands after using the toilet, before eating, and if you cough/sneeze into your hands.
  • Wash/sanitise your hands when leaving and entering the office or when moving between the offices or reception.
  • Wear a mask when in communal areas.
  • Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately.
  • Open the windows regularly to ensure open ventilation.
  • Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.

If at any time during this pandemic you decide that you would prefer to work from home, contact one of the Directors and confirm that that is the case.
